Value of Mentoring on Research Ethics
Similar to various fields, the area of research also witnesses many instances of unethical behavior by researchers. In such a situation, it is critical for a mentor to share his/her experiences of an ethical research with research fellows.
Mentoring on ethical issues can help researchers understand their institutional value systems and responsibly conduct what is expected of them. They should know about the practices that are unethical and unacceptable while conducting research.
Although research standards may vary due to several factors involved in the entire process, it is essential that mentors keep the value system enriched through their directed guidance.
